The blend uses superfood ingredients with the goal of being the cleanest, most natural product on the market. 

Ka-Chava also supports the Rainforest Trust, an organize that works to protect the earth’s rainforests.

While Ka’Chava is marketed as a meal replacement, as a dietitian I must advise that 240 calories is a very low goal for a meal. Instead, I’d recommend using it as a supplement with other ingredients or as a snack.

At 85+, Ka’Chava has one of the highest ingredient counts of any of the superfood powders that I’ve seen on the market.

Of these 85 ingredients, 28 of them are certified organic.  

Another thing that sets Ka’Chava apart from other blends is its high protein count. It all comes from plant-based sources like yellow peas, grains, and sacha inchi. 

Along with its protein blend, it also offers six other blends in one scoop. These are the omega and fiber blend, antioxidant and superfood blend, adaptogen blend, supergreens blend, probiotic/prebiotic blend, and digestive enzyme blend.  

It also lists other ingredients used for flavoring and texture, including cocoa, cinnamon, vanilla extract, soluble vegetable fiber, and xanthan gum.

Ka’Chava is unique because it comes in five different flavors. These include vanilla, chocolate, coconut acai, chia, and matcha. 

Many customers had good reviews discussing the taste and texture of Ka’Chava. They like the fact that they can try different types and choose their favorites.

That being said, many reported they had to mix the product with other ingredients like frozen fruit to make it less chalky and improve the flavor.

Ka’chava vs Athletic Greens: Which Is The Best Option?

Athletic Greens and Ka’chava both offer tons of benefits, but there are some unique ones for each.

Ka’Chava is high in protein and fiber, which contributes to better satiety and muscle growth. That being said, they market themselves as a meal replacement, but 240 calories for a whole meal is very low, in my opinion.

Athletic Greens is meant to be a super greens blend to have before any food, so it won’t add much in terms of calories and macronutrients. But it hits it out of the park with micronutrients!

They also offer on-the-go travel packs, which is something I haven’t seen from any other company on the market.

And while I love that both companies have great values, Athletic Greens has extended its efforts to even more than just sustainability.

When it comes to price and packaging, both products are more expensive than others on the market, but they are also two of the most popular and comprehensive blends out there. 

That being said, Ka’Chava only has 10 more ingredients than AG1. And, there are only 15 servings per package, where Athletic Greens has 30. 

Is it really worth about $1 more per serving and having to wait for two containers a month? I don’t think so.
