Finally, if you have some concerns about taking medication for weight loss, this is not the program. While not everyone is going to need medication, if the doctor prescribes it, you should follow their recommendations.

What is Found’s approach for weight loss?

There are three approaches to the weight loss program. While they might have some similarities, they have some key differences that will determine which path you should take. 

So, let’s talk more in depth about them. 

Rx Path

The Rx Path is available only in 37 states since it provides you with medical guidance. It is for those with a medical condition who need certain medications to aid in weight loss. 

Unfortunately, Found does not provide a full list of the medications they use until you’re working with their doctor. You can read about some of the available medications here.

However, I can say from experience looking into similar programs that they’re probably hunger suppressants. 

These FDA-approved drugs decrease your hunger levels, helping you lose weight faster and more effectively. 

As a Registered Dietitian, I don’t like my clients relying on medication to achieve their goals. At the same time, they are necessary in some cases to get people on track. 

Once you sign up, you can create a call with a doctor for them to guide you through which medication is the one for you. They will also check in to see if the medication and the dosage are working. 

If you need an adjustment or a change in the medication, they will guide you through the process. 

If the doctor determines you no longer need the drug (or in case you no longer want it), you can switch to the Wellness Path. 

On top of the medication, you get access to the Facebook group, one-on-one health coaching, a nutrition plan, and an exercise plan.

Wellness Path

The Wellness Path Program is for those that don’t require any medication. 

You get access to the Facebook group, your own coach, and a nutrition and exercise plan. 

As you can see, the only difference between the Wellness and the RX Program is that in the Rx Program, you get medication. In this one, you don’t. 

Taking advantage of the coach will play a crucial role in your results. Like I always tell my clients: the more communication you have with your coach, the better results you will get. 

If you are not a fan of texting or asking questions, then this is not the right program for you. 

The coach guides you along your journey. If you’re having trouble meal prepping, they can send you some options on how to do it. 

If you’re having trouble with healthy snacks, they might send you a YouTube video on how to make sweet snacks. 

Not only are they there to guide you, but to help you keep accountable and motivate you throughout the journey. 

Finally, the Facebook community allows you to share and read about other people’s progress. This can encourage you to try that new recipe they posted or realize you are on the same journey as them with similar struggles. 

Remember that weight loss is not always linear. In most cases, there’s a relapse. Having a community sharing love and support can help you get back on track. 

Is Found Weight Loss legit?

Yes, Found is a legitimate company with board-certified doctors providing support and counseling on the program. 

However, it is not for those that want to lose weight fast. It aims to create long-lasting and sustainable results. 

While you might not lose a lot of weight in the beginning, lifestyle changes encourage weight loss in the long run instead. 

This is preferable to the disappointment of losing progress that only lasts a couple of months. 

Things to Consider Before Joining Found Weight Loss

Here are some questions I would ask myself to determine if this program is for me.

Are you ready to make lifestyle changes? 

If you are looking for something fast to help you get rid of those extra couple of pounds, you don’t need to read any more Found weight loss program reviews.

Fast results are not sustainable. In the end, you will return to your old habits, encouraging weight gain again. 

The program focuses on creating lifestyle changes to help you keep your weight off. So, it might take a couple of weeks or months to see any significant change. 

Let me assure you it might take longer, but it is more gratifying and healthier for your body (and mind). 

Do you like to be involved in a community?

One of the biggest things about this program is that it offers you to be part of a community. 

You can share, react, or comment on people’s posts. 

Social support and encouragement are huge missing pieces of the puzzle for a lot of us.

For those that want to have that extra support, it allows you to interact with people who relate to what you’re going through.

Do you like communicating via SMS? 

Texting your coach is one of the biggest parts of the process. If you don’t text your coach, there is no way for them to provide you feedback or guidance. 

As mentioned before, the more you communicate with a coach, the better results you will get. 

If texting someone is not the thing for you, then this is not the program for you. 

Are you willing to make adjustments in your sleep, exercise, and stress?

Finally, since this is a holistic approach to weight loss, you will need to make some changes in your sleep, exercise, and stress management. 

They all play a key role in your weight loss process and how to keep it off long-term. 

If you’re not keen on making a change on any of these things, save your money and look elsewhere. 

Are you ok with taking prescription medication if required?

Finally, ask yourself if you are willing to take prescription medication. 

While in some cases the doctor might not recommend any medication, in the majority of situations, people might need an appetite suppressant or any other medication that can make it easier to achieve their goals. 

After all, most people who join have already tried exercise and diet alone.

Finally, you get assigned to your new health coach. They will provide you with guidance and motivation in this journey. They help create your new diet plan and any other action plan you need to help you reach your goals. 

The health coach also helps create strategies for your sleep, exercise, and stress. This ensures it covers all areas that have an impact on your weight. 

Month 1 (Finding Your Fit)

You start taking the medication during the first month and meet your new health coach. 

They will help you establish your goals and the action plan to take in the following months. The coach will help you change your nutrition, exercise, sleep, and stress management. 

Month 2–3 (Forming Healthy Habits)

During these months, you work closely with your coach to help you replace your old habits with those that will help you lose weight and keep it off. 

In case you are taking medication, your doctor will determine if you need to have your medication changed or if there needs to be a modification in the dosage. 

You may start noticing weight loss and other non-scale victories, like having more energy throughout the day. 

Month 4–6 (Found Your Way)

To get started, you need to sign up and take Found’s quiz to find the appropriate plan for you. 

In the survey, you get standard questions like sex, weight, height, age, and some questions to learn your history regarding weight loss.

When you have answered everything, a doctor reaches out to you to determine if you need medication, which type, and the dosage.

One of the positive things they have is that they don’t encourage constant weigh-ins. You only weigh yourself every Wednesday.
